May 22, 2025—CFISD has been honored with the 2025 Best Communities for Music Education national designation from the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation for the eighth consecutive year.
This summer, free, nutritious breakfasts and lunches will be offered to children 18 and under, as well as to enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21, at select school locations. All meal sites will be open Monday through Thursday and will be closed on June 19.
This Memorial Day, we honor those who gave their lives to defend our freedoms. Reminder: all CFISD schools & facilities are closed today, Monday, May 26.

April 7, 2025—Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner Lesley Briones held a ribbon cutting ceremony at Cypress Lakes High School on March 31 to celebrate the 14.1 miles of sidewalks installed around 13 different CFISD campuses as part of the Sidewalks 4 Precinct 4 initiative.
March 20, 2025—The CFISD 2024-2025 middle school basketball season concluded on Feb. 20. District zone champions were named at the conclusion of the season.
March 12, 2025—The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation (CFEF) held its 28th annual Salute to the Stars Gala in honor of CFISD’s 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year honorees March 6 at the Berry Center.
March 6, 2025—More than 400 students from all 20 CFISD middle schools participated in the annual CFISD Middle School Drama Con on Jan. 25 at the Berry Center.
Feb. 27, 2025—The CFISD human resources department invites prospective employees interested in becoming a part of an exciting future with Cypress-Fairbanks ISD to attend the districtwide Career Fair, set for April 1 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 3:45 p.m.) at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).
Feb. 14, 2025—The 11th Superintendent’s Fun Run is scheduled for March 29 from 8-11:30 a.m. at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road) and Towne Lake community.

Nov. 26, 2024—The Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) named CFISD a 2024 District of Distinction award winner, marking the fourth time the district has earned the prestigious designation. CFISD is among only 96 districts in the state to earn this award.

Parents with children enrolled in bilingual or ESL classes at CFISD schools who want to learn English are invited to enroll in district-offered ESL classes for parents. The free classes are offered for three levels of English proficiency: Introduction, Beginner or Intermediate. Registration will take place at the school cafeterias on the first day of class.
