Sept. 25, 2024—Parents with children enrolled in bilingual or ESL classes at CFISD schools who want to learn English are invited to enroll in district-offered ESL classes for parents.

The free classes are offered for three levels of English proficiency: Introduction, Beginner or Intermediate. Registration will take place at the school cafeterias on the first day of class. Below is the class schedule.

• Saturday morning classes will begin Sept. 28 from 8 a.m. to noon at Owens Elementary School (7939 Jackrabbit Road) and Tipps Elementary School (5611 Queenston Boulevard). Classes will continue on Oct. 5, 19 and 26, Nov. 2, 9 and 16.
• Monday and Wednesday classes will begin Sept. 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bang Elementary School (8900 Rio Grande Drive) and Lieder Elementary School (17003 Kieth Harrow Boulevard). Classes will continue on each Monday and Wednesday through Nov. 20.
